Network Security Engineer

 

Location – Gurgaon

Experience:- 5-8 Years

Notice Period – Immediate

Mode of Work – Complete work from Office

 

Required Skills:-

 

•            Expert knowledge of network architecture design principles, practices, implementation, and LAN/WAN maintenance

•            Extensive hands-on troubleshooting with firewalls, routers, and switches

•            Expert understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies (routing/switching, BGP, EIGRP, Spanning-Tree)

•            In-depth knowledge of Configuration and troubleshooting skills on VPN tunnels, NAT, PAT, Failover, backup and restore, L3-L7 Firewalls

•            In-depth knowledge of TCP packets, network flows, protocols, etc.

•            Should have substantive demonstrable knowledge of the following or equivalent technology:

 

• • Firewall rule reviews
  • Client, site-to-cloud, and site-to-site VPN setup and troubleshooting
  • Firewall code upgrades
  • Wireless network monitoring
  • On-premises and cloud firewall design and implementation
  • Network Protection solutions
  • Network and packet analysis
  • Other security tools as appropriate

 

•            Good understanding of Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto firewalls.

•            Conduct regular security audits, including assessments of switching, routing, and firewall configurations, to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.

•            Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

•            Design, configure, and manage firewall and IPS solutions to monitor and protect network traffic, considering routing and switching implications.

•            Ensure firewall rules and configurations align with security policies and best practices.

•            Hands on experience with Proxy solutions(Forcepoint, Zscaler etc),

•            Proficiency with Cisco security products, including Cisco ISE, ASA, FTD, and WSA.

•            Highly motivated individual with strong analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

•            Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CCNP Security) are a plus.

•            Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

•            Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

•            Should have 6-8 years of working experience on Network security domain.
